How often should my pool be serviced?
Most Brisbane pools do well with a 2-weekly or 4-weekly visit, depending on usage, surrounding trees and the season. We offer everything from weekly through to 8-weekly schedules, and we'll help you pick the right one for your pool.
What's actually included in a regular pool service visit?
Every visit covers a digital water test and chemical balancing, brushing the waterline and steps, emptying the skimmer basket, a filter clean (if Silver or Amethyst package) and a check of your pool's equipment. Exactly what's covered depends on whether you're on our Bronze, Silver or Amethyst plan.
Are chemicals included in the pool service price?
No, chemicals are charged separately from your service fee based on exactly what your pool needs that visit, such as chlorine, pH balancers or algaecide. This keeps pricing fair, since no two pools use the same amount from one visit to the next, and you're never charged for chemicals you didn't need.
What's the difference between Pool Wizard's Bronze, Silver and Amethyst service plans?
Bronze covers the essentials without physically cleaning the pool, ideal if you already have a robotic cleaner doing the hard work. Silver adds a surface clean, waterline brush and filter clean, but skips vacuuming. Amethyst is the full service every visit, including vacuuming.
Do I still need a pool service if I already have a robotic pool cleaner?
Yes. A robotic cleaner is great for keeping the pool floor clean day to day, but it doesn't test or balance your water chemistry, clean your filter, or check your equipment. That's exactly what our Bronze plan is built for — the essentials your robot can't do, without paying for cleaning you don't need.
Can I change my pool service schedule later, like from monthly to fortnightly?
Yes, you can switch anywhere between weekly and 8-weekly at any time, whether your pool usage changes with the seasons, you're heading away, or you just want a different rhythm. Just message or call us and we'll update your booking, no forms or lock-in contracts to work around.
Do I need to be home for my pool service?
No, you don't need to be home. As long as we have safe access to your pool — gate code, key, or an unlocked side gate — we can complete the full service without any interruption to your day. If access ever changes, just flag it when you book and we'll work around it.
What happens if I need to skip or pause a pool service visit?
Just call or message us ahead of time and we'll skip that visit at no charge, picking straight back up on your normal schedule afterwards. There's no lock-in contract and no penalty for pausing, whether you're travelling, doing pool renovations, or just need a one-off break.
How long does a regular pool service visit take?
Most regular services take around 10 to 45 minutes, depending on your pool size and which plan you're on, with Bronze and Silver visits tending to be quicker and Amethyst a little longer. We arrive fully equipped and know exactly what your pool needs, so there's no guesswork on-site.
