How Much Does Pool Servicing Cost in Brisbane? (2026 Honest Breakdown)

If you've tried to get a straight answer on pool servicing prices in Brisbane, you'll know how frustrating it can be. Vague quotes, bundled pricing with no breakdown or packages that don't tell you what's actually included!

So here's what you actually need to know: real pricing, what drives costs up or down and why Pool Wizard structures its pricing differently from most companies in Brisbane.

Why Pool Servicing Costs Vary in Brisbane

Before getting into numbers, it's worth understanding why pricing isn't one-size-fits-all, and it has nothing to do with companies being dodgy. It's genuinely pool-specific.

The biggest variables are:

  • Weather and season. Brisbane's subtropical climate means pools need more chemical attention through summer, especially after storms and heatwaves. A pool in January after three days of rain needs significantly more product than the same pool in July.

  • Your pool. Size, surface type and whether it's salt water, freshwater or mineral all affect how much chemical is required to keep it balanced.

  • How much the pool is used. A pool that gets hammered by kids every weekend needs more attention than one that barely gets touched.

  • How often you want it serviced. At Pool Wizard, customers choose their own service frequency anywhere from weekly to every 8 weeks. The more often we visit, the less work each visit involves.

Because of all this, any company that gives you a single flat price covering both service and chemicals is making an assumption. Either they're averaging it out (and some customers are subsidising others) or they're quietly limiting the chemicals they use to protect their margin.

How Pool Wizard Prices Its Services

This is where we do things differently.

At Pool Wizard, the service fee is fixed. Chemicals are charged on top, based on what your pool actually needs on the day. You only pay for what goes into your pool. Nothing more, nothing less.

This matters because chemical costs vary a lot from visit to visit. After a storm, a pool might need double the usual product. In mild weather with light usage, it might need very little. Bundling everything into one price means someone is always getting a bad deal, and it's usually the customer.

We're also at the lower end of pricing for chemicals in Brisbane, so you're not paying a premium on top of the service.

Here's the breakdown:

Regular Pool Servicing

We offer three service tiers for regular maintenance. You pick the frequency (anywhere from weekly to every 8 weeks) and the level of service that suits your pool and budget.

Service

Fixed Service Fee

Chemicals

Bronze Service

$54 per visit

Charged on top at cost

Silver Service

$74 per visit

Charged on top at cost

Amethyst Service

$84 per visit

Charged on top at cost

Green Pool Cleaning

Green pool cleans are a separate service. If your pool has gone green, getting it back to a safe, swimmable condition requires a proper treatment: more time, more product and in some cases a follow-up visit.

Service

Fixed Service Fee

Chemicals

Green Pool Clean

$400 per treatment

Charged on top at cost

The chemicals needed for a green pool recovery can vary a lot depending on how far gone the pool is. By separating the chemical cost, you pay for exactly what's used rather than a blanket estimate that may or may not reflect your actual pool.

One-Time Pool Service

Just need a one-off visit? Maybe you've been away, you're getting the pool ready for summer or you just want a fresh start before committing to a regular plan.

Service

Fixed Service Fee

Chemicals

One-Time Service

$125 per visit

Charged on top at cost

Why Separate Service and Chemical Costs?

Most pool companies in Brisbane charge a single bundled price covering both the visit and the chemicals. On the surface that sounds simpler: one number, done.

The problem is transparency. When chemicals are bundled in, you have no way of knowing whether your technician is using the right amount of product or cutting corners to protect the company's margin. A technician under pressure to keep chemical costs down might undertreat your pool and you'd never know until the water starts turning.

At Pool Wizard, you see exactly what chemicals were used and what they cost. No ambiguity, no averaging, no incentive to use less than your pool needs. If your pool needs extra product one visit, you pay for it. If it needs less, you pay for less.

It's a model built around your pool, not around what's easiest to price.

What Does a Typical Month Cost?

Every pool is different, but here's a rough idea for a standard Brisbane residential pool on fortnightly servicing:

A Bronze Service at $54 per fortnight works out to roughly $108 per month in service fees. Add chemicals on top (which might be $10 to $40 per visit depending on the season and pool condition ) and you're typically looking at $120 to $190 per month all up.

In summer, chemical costs tend to sit toward the higher end. In winter, considerably less.

The honest reality: getting on a regular servicing plan is almost always cheaper than paying for a green pool recovery every summer. One treatment at $400 plus chemicals can cost more than two months of fortnightly servicing.

If you're selling or leasing a property in Queensland, a pool safety certificate is mandatory. We can help with that too. See our pool safety inspection service here.
